Hello,
My name is Sattala Vamsi Bhaskar, and I was born in Uppumilli, a village in Andhra Pradesh, India. For many years after their marriage, my parents longed for a child but were unable to conceive. They prayed earnestly, along with our pastor, asking God to bless them with children. One day, my pastor’s wife received a vision from the Lord, and shortly afterward, my mother conceived. Before I was even born, my parents dedicated me to God’s service.
When I was eight years old, I lost my mother due to a serious health condition. Afterward, my father remarried, and God blessed me with a loving stepmother who came from a spiritually disciplined family. She taught me to pray daily, meditate on God’s Word, and attend gospel meetings. Through her guidance, my love for the Lord grew.
As a child, I was deeply inspired by the preachers I heard at gospel meetings. I dreamed of becoming a preacher myself. I would often repeat the sermons I heard to my friends at school and in the playground. By the age of ten, I was organizing small meetings with my friends and sharing God’s Word in homes throughout our community.
However, during my teenage years, I drifted away from God. I became involved in sinful behavior and lived a double life. Outwardly, I appeared to be a faithful believer, but inwardly my thoughts and actions were far from God. At the age of sixteen, I developed serious health problems, including thyroid issues, sinusitis, and a blood infection. I became physically weak and discouraged.
One day, my pastor preached a message and said, “Maybe this is the day of your salvation; don’t neglect it. God is calling you.” Although I had ignored similar invitations many times before, this time I responded. In 2017, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior and was baptized. Shortly afterward, God miraculously began restoring my health.
As I grew in faith, I had the opportunity to assist many foreign missionaries who came to India by serving as a translator during gospel meetings. After these meetings, many of them prayed for me and spoke prophetic words over my life, declaring that God would use me as a preacher in the future.
I completed a Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering and later earned a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science and Engineering. Even after my baptism, I struggled with sin and experienced seasons of spiritual backsliding. Yet through every failure, God’s mercy and love preserved me.
During this time, an apostle once anointed me as a pastor after a church meeting, although I did not take it seriously. On another occasion, a woman of God anointed me as a Bible teacher. Looking back, I can see how God was confirming His calling on my life long before I fully understood it.
After graduation, I pursued my dream of becoming a software engineer. I learned several programming languages, taught coding to younger students, and eventually started a computer training institute. I later worked for a company for fourteen months. However, throughout that season, I felt increasingly distant from God. Deep within my heart, I sensed that my life was meant for something different.
At the same time, I traveled frequently with Pastor Ananda Kumar, the son of my pastor and a gifted young minister. We shared many ministry platforms together. He encouraged me to preach, and through his support, I had opportunities to minister in churches and gospel meetings. I also assisted my father, who planted a church in 2020.
Despite these opportunities, my family faced many financial and health challenges. The burden in my heart regarding my job continued to grow. I began experiencing panic attacks and health issues. Eventually, in 2024, I resigned from my job, believing God was leading me in a different direction.
After leaving my job, I sought God’s guidance but lacked spiritual focus and prayer. During that period, my uncle and I started a business. Within six months, we realized we had made a serious mistake. We lost approximately ten lakh rupees, and within a year I lost everything I had worked for financially.
Yet God used that difficult season to redirect my life. During that time, I learned graphic design and expanded my skills in web design and digital media. Today, I work as a freelance web designer, graphic designer, video editor, and digital media specialist, serving churches, ministries, pastors, and Christian organizations. This work has become a faith-based platform through which I can support ministry while using the talents God has given me.
After a 21-day period of fasting and prayer, I began seeking God for a new chapter in my life. One day, a pastor unexpectedly visited my village, and I shared with him my desire to study theology. Through God’s providence, that desire became a reality.
I am currently pursuing a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree at Sharon Bible College. My desire is to know Christ more deeply, faithfully teach His Word, and serve Him according to His calling on my life.
In addition to my theological studies and freelance ministry work, I am currently serving as an Assistant Pastor in my father’s church. I actively support the church’s spiritual and ministry activities, helping with preaching, teaching, discipleship, and pastoral care. One of my greatest passions is ministering to the next generation. Every month, I conduct youth meetings focused on encouraging young people to grow in their relationship with Christ, remain faithful to biblical values, and discover God’s purpose for their lives. I also participate in children’s ministry, teaching and encouraging children through God’s Word. Seeing young people and children develop a genuine faith in Jesus Christ is one of the most rewarding aspects of my ministry.
On May 13, 2026, God blessed me with another important chapter in my journey when I married my wife. I thank the Lord for His faithfulness in providing a godly partner to walk beside me as we seek to serve Him together.
Today, I continue pursuing the vision God has placed in my heart through Acts Eight Ministries. Through my freelance work, I help support ministry activities, disciple believers, assist churches with media and technology, and prepare for future outreach, church planting, and compassionate ministries that serve widows, fatherless children, and communities in need. My prayer is that every skill, opportunity, and resource God entrusts to me will be used to advance His Kingdom.
Looking back over my life, I see God’s grace at every stage—from childhood dreams, failures, sickness, and financial loss, to restoration, ministry opportunities, theological training, and marriage. My testimony is not about my strength but about the faithfulness of Jesus Christ, who never abandoned me even when I wandered far from Him.
As I continue this journey, my prayer is simple: to live fully surrendered to Christ, make disciples, serve His Church, and fulfill the calling He has placed upon my life for His glory alone.
To support my calling, I also serve as a freelance web and multimedia professional through Abide Creatives, where I work with pastors, churches, and ministries to design websites, create media, and build digital tools that help spread the gospel. My journey is built on faith — combining my technical skills with my spiritual mission. My ultimate prayer is to live fully for Christ and shepherd His people faithfully.
